Slasher Flick Mentality
Go put on your hockey mask
And don those finger knives.
We’re going to have a lot of fun
Ending people’s lives.
We might do it at a campground
Or kill them in their dreams.
It is so delightful
To watch them writhe and scream.
There’s such joy in terror
That is damn close to obscene.
We’re in our own way necrophiles
While we sit staring at the screen.
Hide your eyes and cover your head.
Or you might look up and find yourself dead.
In your imagination
While he does his grisly task
Are you the helpless victim
Or the one wearing the mask?
