Fucked Up Design

When a product has a flaw in it that causes injuries and/or death, it's the fault of the manufacturer not the product. Examples include the Samsung Galaxy Note 7Takata airbagshoverboards and General Motors ignition switches. In each case, the company that designed and manufactured the product was to blame.
Let's apply this to Intelligent Design. Some people would have us believe that the universe was designed by an omnipotent, omniscient deity. First, God designed the angels. Everything the Angels are was brought into being by God. One of God's angelic creations, Lucifer, rebelled against God and convinced one third of the Angels to join him. Does this sound like an intelligent design to you? Sounds more like a colossal fuckup to me. And how does Mr. Omnipotence and Omniscience fix this problem? Does He out debate Lucifer and convince him and the rebelling Angels that their plan won't work? You'd think an omniscience being could pull that off with ease. Does He simply eliminate the problem by fixing the flaw in the rebellious Angels? No in both cases. This supposedly perfect being just casts Lucifer and his followers into Hell and let's the problem fester. Smart move.
Then there's the creation of Man. Again, you'd think a supposedly perfect being would be able a design a flawless creation. Nope. Mankind is a lot of things but perfect isn't one of them. For all the good we're capable of doing, we're also capable of considerable amounts of evil. All of it designed into us by God if you believe religion. And in typical narcissistic fashion, God blames His creations for their actions rather than Himself for making those actions possible. He can't accept the fact that He's a colossal Fuckup.

The MCU and Doctor Who

What was once thought to be only a dream has become reality. The X-Men, Deadpool and the Fantastic Four are now part of the MCU. Fox is selling part of its holdings, which includes the aforementioned heroes, to Disney. With Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart leaving the X-Men franchise, what will Disney do with it? In my opinion, they should reboot the franchise and formally add it to the MCU. That way they could have the Avengers and X-Men together in the same movie.
The Fantastic Four is in serious need of a reboot. The original movies with Chris Evans, Jessica Alba, Ioan Gruffyd and Michael Chiklis weren't bad. My chief complaint is primarily with the second movie's portrayal of Galactus. The most recent FF reboot was a disaster. Its piss poor portrayal of Doctor Doom as some kind of arrogant nature loving hippy did a disservice to the character. Hopefully the MCU will breathe new life into this franchise.
And good news for Deadpool fans. Everyone's favorite fourth wall breaking Merc with the Mouth will remain R rated. Fans had feared that Disney would censor Deadpool thus ruining the character's appeal.
The 13th Doctor made a very brief appearance at the end of the Doctor Who Christmas Special. This is the first female incarnation of the Doctor and she is being played by Jodie Whittaker. This has caused some online controversy with some fans saying that they'll never watch the show again. These people need to get over themselves.
