If Mine Eye Offends
If my words aren’t orthodox
Admonish me to silence.
If I can’t enforce the status quo
Grind me under with violence.
If I protest your tyranny
Convert me to your cause with pain.
If still I cannot see the light
Feel free to drive me insane.
If my philosophy’s nonsense
Then tell me what life’s all about.
And if mine eye offends thee
Then, by all means, tear it out.
